About

Cars, code, and the numbers in between.

I am the founder and CEO of Autora, a California-licensed automotive dealership and technology platform. Alongside it I buy used-vehicle inventory at wholesale, and I study Economics at UC Davis.

What I work on

Four things that keep turning out to be one thing.

A pricing decision, a data model, and the page a customer buys from are the same problem seen from different sides. Most of the job is moving between those sides quickly enough to keep them consistent.

How I got here

It started on a sales floor.

2025

01

The retail side first

I started at Fairfield Subaru, working with customers through vehicle selection, product presentation, financing, trade-ins, and transaction coordination. Six months on a sales floor teaches you what the process actually feels like from the other side of the desk: how long it takes, how much of it is paperwork, and how little of it has moved online.

02

Then the company

In March 2025 I founded Autora and licensed it as a California dealership. The premise was simple: a car purchase is a sequence of discrete steps, and almost every one of them can be done properly on the internet. Building it meant working across discovery, financing, identity and income verification, payments, digital contracting, and transaction processing, and writing a lot of the software myself.

2025

03

Then the buy side

In December I joined Gill Automotive Group as a Vehicle Acquisition Analyst. Buying inventory is the other half of the same question. Instead of asking what a customer will pay, you ask what you can pay and still be right about it weeks later, after transport, reconditioning, and the time the money sits parked. Through late August that has come to $5.4 million across 192 vehicles, at an average of about $28,200 a unit.

2026

04

And the analytical half

Economics at UC Davis with a Computer Science minor is where the formal side comes from. In 2026 I worked as a software engineer at PrimaryIO, an enterprise technology startup, which is a useful counterweight: writing software for someone else, to standards you did not set, is a different discipline from writing it for your own company where you also get to move the deadline.

The degree supports the work rather than the other way round. Most of what I use daily came from doing it: pricing real cars, shipping real software, and being wrong often enough to build a process. Selected work covers the rest.
